Phagwara: A newly married woman, who had migrated from Bihar, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling at her house in Onkar Nagar here on Saturday.
The deceased, identified as Varsha was married to Ravi Mishra last year.
The parental family of the deceased alleged that the deceased Varsha was being tortured physically and mentally by her-in-laws which forced her to take the extreme step.
The police have registered a case and handed over the body to her parents after post-mortom.
