Bhopal: Describing Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as an ‘ichchhadhari’ Hindu, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said on Thursday that he will seek legal opinion on whether a first information report may be registered against the former politician for his statement targeting the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.
“Mr Gandhi sports a cap or applies vermillion to his forehead as per his will. He undertakes ‘religious tourism’. Until now, I considered him immature. However, when he spoke thus regarding the RSS, I was pained. How will he comprehend the Sangh? When an individual’s origin is foreign, such absurdity exists,” Dr Mishra told journalists in the state capital.
Recently, Mr Gandhi allegedly accused the RSS of acting like a tout in the context of Hinduism. (UNI)
