Alwar: A 40-year-old man in Alwar district of Rajasthan took his own life by hanging himself allegedly due to harassment over a bank loan, police said.

Police sources stated that Hansraj Jatva, a labourer, obtained a loan from a private bank approximately two years ago after losing his job. He was struggling to repay the loan, and bank employees were reportedly harassing him and his family.

On Tuesday evening, while his wife was out buying milk, Jatva hanged himself at their rented home in Shikshak Colony, Suraj Nagar.

Jatva's family members claimed that the repeated visits and harassment from the bank employees drove him to take the extreme step.

The police handed over the body to his family after conducting a post-mortem examination.
