New Delhi: Days after AISA took to the streets against the alleged hooliganism of ABVP at an event in Ramjas College of Delhi University, the BJP affiliated student wing is staging a counter-protest today at North Campus area under 'Save Delhi University'.

Sources here said that the ABVP members were protesting against the anti- nationals and communist violence at the campus. Adding, that they were also demanding filing of chargesheet in the JNU case and sedition charges against those in DU case.

Scores of protestors today gathered outside the Arts Faculty of the Delhi University holding placards in their hands, raising slogans against the left-affiliated student wings. They said that ABVP members will march throughout the varsity and culminate at the Arts Faculty. Yesterday, ABVP staged a protest outside the Police Headquarters here against the police inaction in the issue.

The organisation also took out a 'Tiranga' March in South Campus of the Delhi University raising slogans of 'Vande Mataram' over the Ramjas College incident. The genesis of the entire incident was the invitation of two JNU leaders to speak at a seminar in the college, which was called off after ABVP's protest last week. (UNI)
