New Delhi: After being trolled on Twitter for her campaign against violence in Ramjas college, Kargil martyr's daughter Gurmehar Kaur today announced that she is withdrawing from the campaign, saying that she has shown 'more than enough courage.' In a series of tweets, Gurmehar called on students to join the peace march being organised by the NSUI in the North campus today. 'I'm withdrawing from the campaign. Congratulations everyone. I request to be left alone. I said what I had to say. To anyone questioning my courage and bravery. (Pic- Twitter)

I've shown more than enough. The campaign is about students and not about me. Please go to the March in huge numbers. Best of luck,'Gurmehar tweeted. After the clashes between AISA and ABVP in the Ramjas college following the latter's disruption of a seminar in the college over invitations to JNU leaders Umar Khalid and Shehla Rashid, Gurmehar Kaur , daughter of Kargil martyr Mandeep Singh, had started a campaign on the social media against the ABVP which had gone viral.

However, she alleged that she received rape threats and was trolled on social media for her campaign. The development comes ahead of a peace March planned by the NSUI in the north campus in protest against the violence in Ramjas college. (UNI)
