Rape and Arms cases registered against SHO, Marredpally in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Rape and arms cases were registered against SHO, Maredpally, Nageswar Rao by Vanasthalipuram police.

In her complaint, a victim woman stated that CI Nageswar Rao allegedly raped her while threatening her husband with gun on Thursday night. When forcefully sending them (couple) out of the city his (Police) car met with an accident at Ibrahimpatnam on the same night. At that time, the couple managed to escape from the car and lodged a complaint in Vanasthalipuram Police Station on Friday.

Based on a complaint, police have registered kidnap and rape cases against CI and further investigation is underway, police said.

In view of the rape and arms act registered against the SHO Marredpally K Nageshwar Rao in Vanasthalipuram police station and the report received from Rachakonda Police Commissioner, he is suspended from service pending detailed enquiry and investigation, a Police statement here said on Saturday.

In view of the Bakrid and Bonalu festival bandobusts , C Nethaji , Detective Inspector , Karkhana is posted as SHO Marredpally and should take charge immediately, the statement added.(UNI)
