New Delhi: Even after 15 days , the issue of inter connectivity between Reliance Jio and other major telecom operators remains unresolved as 10 crore calls made from Reliance Jio are not connecting on the platform with Airtel, Vodafone and Idea.
Though Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) had sought the details of call failures from all the operators, the issue is yet to get resolved. Reliance in its communication today has once again blamed that the rival Airtel, Vodafone and Idea, are not cooperating and crores of calls are not been landing on the rivals network due to lack of Points of Integration (PoIs).
On the other hand Airtel, Vodafone and Idea are saying that they have provided the maximum cooperation and PoIs for the Jio calls. Now the TRAI has to take a final call. The earlier circulars of TRAI to the operators and a meeting was called up by it had no result. Reliance again today blamed that despite repeated reminders and bilateral meetings with incumbent operators and claims made by them, hardly any new interconnection capacity has been made operational by any of the three incumbent operators, viz. Bharti Airtel Limited (Airtel), Vodafone India Limited (Vodafone) or Idea Cellular Limited (Idea) for Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (RJIL) in the last 15 days. (UNI)
