New Delhi: Actor-turned politician Roopa Ganguly and BJP leader L Ganeshan today took oath as members of the Rajya Sabha. Ms Ganguly, who has been nominated to the Rajya Sabha by President Pranab Mukherjee, and Mr L Ganeshan, who has been elected to the Upper House from Madhya Pradesh, were administered oath by Chairman Hamid Ansari.
Present at the oath taking ceremony of the members were Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman P J Kurien, Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu, Minister of state for Parliamentary Affairs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs S S Ahluwalia, and Minister of State in the Ministry of Road Transport and Shipping P Radhakrishnan.
