Rs 65,250 crore black money declared by 64,275 people: FM

New Delhi: Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today said Rs 65,250 crore undeclared income and assets have been declared under domestic black money compliance scheme -- Income Disclosure Scheme (IDS) 2016. However, this amount may go up once the final tabulation gets finished as some manual declarations are being verified.
 

(Pic- PTI) Addressing a press conference here, the Finance Minister said 64,275 people have made a declaration of their undisclosed income, assets under the scheme and this number may slightly go upward. Showing satisfaction over the amount and the number of people who have made the disclosure, Mr Jaitley said it showed that more people want to become tax compliant. This is a good sign and government is working on this. (UNI)
