Sanjay Nirupam under house arrest till PM's prog

Mumbai: Mumbai Regional Congress Committee (MRCC) president Sanjay Nirupam has been placed under house arrest by the city police, till the completion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi programmes here today. The City police have asked Mr Nirupam, not to move out of his resident in a western suburb, till Prime Minister's programme is concluded.
 

The MRCC was to stage silence (Muk) march at Bandra-Kurla Complex this afternoon to protest against policies of the Centre. Mr Nirupam said, though he was house detained by law enforcement authority, but, he will come out for Silence march. A tight arrangement of police has been made outside Nirupam's house. (UNI)
