New Delhi: Supreme Court today granted three months, time for translation of the historical documents pertaining to the Ayodhya land dispute case. A three-judge bench comprising Justices Dipak Misra, Ashok Bhushan and S. Abdul Nazeer, was hearing the arguments from various petitioners and respondents in the matter.

The Apex court wanted to know from all the parties as to who was representing which respondent and petitioner? Sunni wakf board told the Apex court that the translation work had not been completed yet of the historic documents.

These original historical documents are in Sanskrit, Parsi, Urdu, Arabic and various other languages. Uttar Pradesh and Ram Lalla, who were parties to the case, have sought early hearing, Sunni Waqf Board has objected in the absence of translated documents.

Subramanian Swamy, who is a party to the case, told the Apex court that he be given a chance to worship as it is his fundamental right to do so. The Supreme Court did not pass any order in this regard. The apex court fixed the matter for further hearing on December 5. (UNI)
