New Delhi: Shiv Sena today served an ultimatum to the Government to act by April 10 on the blanket ban on air travel for its Osmanabad MP Ravindra Gaikwad but went on to allege that actions against the party lawmaker was taken "on some pressure." "Very soon those trying to influence the decision on our MP will be exposed," Sena spokesman Sanjay Raut told a press conference here.

He also said the Government must finally take a decision on the matter by April 10. "Otherwise, I want to make it very clear, we will not go for the April 10 NDA meeting. I am stating this with all authority and with the permission of my party chief Uddhav Thackeray," said Mr Raut, Rajya Sabha floor leader for the party. "For this statement about staying away from NDA meet, you may presume it is a statement from our party chief," he said.

Earlier, during the bedlam in the Lok Sabha over the episode, Mr Raut, also known as party chief Uddhav Thackeray's point-man in Delhi, was seated in the VIP gallery and keeping an eye on the proceedings in the Lower House. (UNI)
