Separatists withdraw strike on Maha Shivratri

Srinagar: The separatists have withdrawn the strike called on February 24 in view of the Maha Shivratri, the most important festival of Kashmir pandits in the Valley. Both the factions of the Hurriyat Conference (HC) and Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), spearheading the agitation for right to self determination, had been calling strike on every Friday in the Valley for the past several months besides on some important days.
 

The strike call on February 24 has been withdrawn, a spokesman separatists Advocate Shahidul Islam told UNI. However, as the Kashmiri pandits are celebrating Maha Shivratri on February 24, the separatist had withdrawn the strike for hassle-free functions. (UNI)
