Palghar: A 62-year-old man was arrested on Sunday for allegedly killing his wife by slitting her throat in Virar neighbourhood of this district.
According to police, accused Kishore Futane and his wife Sulbha (59), lived in Bhoir Pada of Jiwdani road in Virar. At around noon on Sunday, the accused slit his wife's throat.The murder was reported to police by the neighbours and later, the accused was arrested under IPC Section 302.
The victim's body has been sent to the government hospital for post-mortem and further investigation is underway, added police.(UNI)
