In a shocking incident, twelve children, under 5 years of age, were given drops of sanitizer instead of polio vaccine in Yavatmal in Maharashtra. All the kids are admitted to the hospital. Although, they all are well now.
Yavatmal District Council CEO Shrikrishna Panchal said, “2 children, under 5 years of age, were given drops of sanitizer instead of polio vaccine in Yavatmal. They were admitted to hospital & are well now. A health worker, doctor & ASHA worker will be suspended for probe.”
