Nahan: Seventeen-year-old Manisha, who has been bitten by snakes no less than 35 times in over six years, survives to tell the tale. The victim's father -- Mr Sumer Chand, resident of village Pohta-Manal in Himachal Pradesh's Sirmaur district -- told UNI that Manisha was bitten by the serpent for the 35th time on February 18. She was rushed to Dr Y S Medical College Hospital Nahan where she was recovering.
Mr Chand claimed that Manisha gets inkling in advance about the snake bite. He said that snakebite cases have become a routine for her. The doctors of Shillai and Paonta hospitals, where she has been admitted on earlier occasions, have claimed that most of the bites have been by non-poisonous snakes or snakes with less venom. They also claimed that so many snakebites may have developed antibacterial properties in her body. (UNI)
