Social Media influencer arrested for making derogatory remarks against Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde, Dy CM Devendra Fadnavis, Union minister Narayan Rane
Mumbai: An FIR has been registered against a Social Media influencer Pradeep Bhalekar on Wednesday for using derogatory words on social media against Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis & Union minister Narayan Rane.
Samata Nagar police has booked Bhalekar under sections 153 A and B for inciting animosity between various groups, 500 (defamation), 504 (intentional insult), and 505 (2) (public mischief which will alarm public) of the Indian Panel after a police officer from cyber branch discovered his tweets during routine check.
Bhalekar, resident of Malad, was earlier arrested for making derogatory remarks against Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari. (UNI)
