Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Sunday performed 'Shanti Puja' to the river Godavari at Bhadrachalam which is in spate since the last few days.
KCR reached Bhadrachalam by Road from Warangal after cancelling the aerial survey in the flood-hit areas in Godavari Territory due to bad weather.
The Chief Minister inspected the river Godavari area from the top of the bridge along with Ministers Puvvada Ajay Kumar, Harish Rao, Errabelli Dayakar Rao, Satyavathi Rathode and others.
The water level in Godavari is still above the danger level due to heavy rains in catchement areas, though it started receding after crossing 70 Ft on Friday. (UNI)
