Hyderabad: The prime suspect in the sensational Saidabad rape case P Raju allegedly committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train near Nashkal village in Warangal district of Telangana.
Police found his body on the railway track and was identified on the basis of tattoos on his arm.
Raju reportedly sexually assaulted and killed a six-year-old girl in Singareni colony near the city on September 9.
Earlier, police had launched a massive manhunt for the suspect and declared a reward of Rs 10 lakh to those who inform about the whereabouts of Raju.
Earlier, Telangana Labour Minister Malla Reddy had said that the accused in the case "will be killed in an encounter", according to a report by The Times of India. (Inputs from UNI)
