Jaipur: This time a bizarre "Sanskari" statement has come from un unlikely source. Guess what, this is none other than Rajasthan High court. A judge from the High Court has said that peacocks are national bird because they don't have sex!
The Judge further added that celibacy is the reason why peacock is the national bird. The peahen gets pregnant after consuming his tears. Lord Krishna wears Mor pankh for the same reason on his head.
He said that From saints to temples, everyone considers Mor Pank revered. Similarly the holy Cow is equally pious. Thus cows should be declared national animal and there should be a provision of a life sentence for cow slaughter. (WD)
