These 4 Men held for gangraping 25 women in one year

Eluru: Police arrested four members of a dreaded gang, which had been on a raping spree for more than a year and seized a country-made revolver, two swords and a cycle from them.Addressing a press meet here on Sunday, SP M Ravi Prakash said that the gang used to target couples, who would sit at secluded places for privacy. 
On February 24, they attacked a couple at Bouddharamalu in West Godavari district. They hit the boy on head with sticks. When he fell unconscious, they gang-raped the girl and killed her. 
The accused later decamped with their mobile phones, cash and silver ornaments.
 
The accused were identified as Potluri Ankama Rao (28), Tupakul Somaiah (22), Tupakula Gangayya (20) and Manikala Nagaraju (20). During interrogation, they confessed that they had committed 25 gang-rapes in West Godavari, Krishna and Khammam districts. They also confessed that they had murdered three people, who resisted their attempts, the SP added.(UNI)
