“Time to go”: Miss Kerala 2019 Ansi Kabeer and Runner-up Anjana Shajan die in accident minutes after Insta post

Kochi: Miss Kerala 2019 Ansi Kabeer and her co-contestant Anjana Shajan were killed in an accident on the Vyttila-Edappally bypass here early Monday. 

Kabeer (25) and her runner-up Shajan (26) were killed in the accident that took place around 1.30 am, sources said.

Two other passengers in the car who also sustained serious injuries have been admitted to a private hospital here.

The car hit a bike and then rammed into a roadside tree. The accident happened when Kabeer, hailing from Alamcode in Thiruvananthapuram, was going to Shajan's house in Thrissur after attending a programme in Kochi last night.

Many followers of Ansi Kabeer said that just a few hours before the tragic accident, she posted a video on her Instagram account with a caption "It's time to go.”
