Kolkata: Mukul Roy's wife Krishna Roy has died of cardiac arrest early on Tuesday in a Chennai hospital where she was admitted for transplant of her damaged lung.
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee condoled her demise.
According to family sources, Krishna Roy died of cardiac arrest at a hospital in Chennai at 5.15 am today.
The body will be brought to West Bengal on Wednesday.
She was admitted to the hospital on May 11 due to a corona infection.
After being on ventilation support for 2 weeks she was then taken to Chennai for the lung transplant.
Mukul Roy's politician son Shuvrangshu Roy went with her mother to Chennai. (UNI)
