A 25-year-old man died after suffering heart attack in Delhi Zoo. His wife, unable to bear the shock of her husband's death, died of suicide after she jumped from the seventh floor of her apartment.
Abhishek Ahluwalia, and his wife Anjali, 22, got married in November last year. The incident took place when the couple visited the zoo on Monday.
During the visit, Ahluwalia complained of chest pain. Anjali contacted her friends and family members about the incident, following which Ahluwalia was rushed to a hospital. However, doctors declared him brought dead after confirming the heart attack.
Ahluwalia's body was brought back home around 9 pm in Elcon Apartment at Vaishali Sector 3 in Ghaziabad. Anjali started crying when she saw it and sat next to it, her family said.
She then suddenly rushed to their seventh floor balcony and jumped, her family added.
Anjali was rushed to hospital but succumbed to her injuries in early hours of Tuesday.
