Trinamool leaders detained by police while marching towards PM's residence

New Delhi: The Delhi Police today detained All India Trinamool Congress (AITC) leaders while marching towards Prime Minister's residence at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg in protest against the arrest of its Lok Sabha MP Sudip Bandyopadhyay in the alleged Rose Valley scam case.

 

The Trinamool leaders were taken to the Tuglaq Road Police.Later, the leaders, including Saugata Roy sat on a dharna at the police station.Talking to reporters, Mr Roy also alleged that some of the leaders were manhandled by the police. Meanwhile, Trinamool leader and Rajya Sabha MP Derek O'Brien took to twitter and said more than three MPs were lathi-charged, who were protesting peacefully near the PM's residence. (UNI)
