Trivendra Rawat soon to be next Uttarakhand Chief Minister

Dehradun: Mr Trivendra Singh Rawat was today elected BJP Legislature Party leader in Uttarakhand and he will take oath as new Chief Minister of the state tomorrow. Mr Rawat has been elected to the Assembly from Doiwala constituency in the recently concluded elections in which the BJP bagged 57 of the 70 seats. The Central BJP leadership has sent Union Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and party General Secretary Saroj Pandey as observers for today's proceedings.
 

Mr Rawat, who will be succeeding Harish Rawat of the Congress as Chief Minister, will take oath of office at around 1500 hrs at Parade Grounds here at a function which is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah.(UNI)
