Satna: The corpses of twins - kidnapped from their school bus on February 12 for ransom by a couple of persons in Nayagaon Police Station limits - were discovered late Saturday in Bebru area within Uttar Pradesh’s Banda District, law enforcement authorities confirmed here early Sunday.
A few accused were taken into custody. A police campaign was underway to trace Priyansh and Shreyans whose father hails from adjoining Chitrakoot District’s Sitapur.
The bodies were spotted in the vicinity of a river.
Twelve days back, two armed perpetrators carried off the siblings - aged less than ten years - from the vehicle belonging to the Sadguru Public School. The incident was caught on closed-circuit television. A payoff of Rs 10 lakh was allegedly demanded.
Senior officers of Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh Police led hundreds of personnel in the search for the boys. (UNI)
