Nagpur: Forest officials have arrested two persons in connection with tiger poaching and seized tiger teeth and whiskers from their possession in Nagpur district of Maharashtra, a press released said.
According to release, forest department had received inputs that some persons were interested in selling tiger teeth and whiskers at Umred-Bhivapur T-point in Nagpur district.
Subsequently, a trap was laid and two persons were arrested from the spot and seized tiger teeth and whiskers from them, the release stated.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of the Wild Life Protection Act, 1972 against them, the released further added. (UNI)
