Mumbai: Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim Kaskar's jailed brother Iqbal Kaskar was admitted to the government-run JJ Hospital in south Mumbai after he complained of chest pain, jail superintendent Harshad Ahirrao of Thane Central Jail told here on Sunday.
“We have sent Iqbal Kaskar for a routine check-up at JJ Hospital in Byculla. He complained of chest pain and so he has been admitted. Instead of taking him everytime for treatment from Thane to Byculla, we thought of admitting him and bringing him back after he's fully treated,” Harshad Ahirrao said.
He also said Kaskar has been advised certain tests and he has undergone most of the tests and the full report will be available on Monday after that further course of action will be decided.
Kaskar is presently lodged in Thane central jail and facing charges of extortion and money laundering and others. (UNI)
