Hathras: A man, who had complained about his daughter being harassed, was shot dead by the accused while working on the field in the Sasnigate area here, police said on Tuesday.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Ruchi Gupta said that Amrish (50) was getting some work done on his field in the Naujarpur village in the Sasni area at around 1530 hrs on Monday. Meanwhile, four individuals came to the spot and fired indiscriminately at him. Amrish died on the way to the hospital.
As per the girl, her father was murdered by one Gaurav Sharma and his aides after her father complained about the harassment. Police have registered a case against six people, including four identified accused.
