UP: Man beats teen to death over affair with wife

A 25-year-old man was arrested for allegedly killing a 17-year-old boy after suspecting him of having an affair with his wife, police said.

The victim, identified as Kamlesh Kumar, was found dead on Saturday morning near the panchayat building in Rawatpur village, Superintendent of Police Rajesh Dwivedi told PTI.

According to police, the accused, Anees, became suspicious after discovering WhatsApp messages and call records between the teenager and his 22-year-old wife. On Friday night, Anees allegedly called Kamlesh out of his house and took him away. Kamlesh’s sister reportedly saw the two together before the incident.

During questioning, Anees confessed to attacking the teenager with a stick, striking him repeatedly on the head, which led to Kamlesh’s death, police said. The accused was arrested on Sunday and has been sent to jail.
