Jaunpur (UP): A youth was battered to death and later his body was thrown into bushes by unidentified miscreants in Barsathi area of Jaunpur district here in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said here on Sunday.
Police sources said that the body of Pandhari Vanvasi (35), a resident of Sarai Vikram, was recovered from the bushes in the south side of the village in the morning.
"There were no clothes on the body and the head was badly battered with a brick. Two blood soaked bricks and a liquor bottle were recovered from the spot," they said.
Circle Officer Mariahu Ashok Kumar Singh along with police force reached the spot and the body has been sent for post mortem examination. "A dog squad has been called on the spot to trace the culprits," sources said. (UNI)
