New Delhi: Former Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde today denied having any knowledge of an attempt made to implicate Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat in ‘Hindu Terror Web’ and demanded that the government should make public if it had any evidence in this regard. Just 48 hours ahead of monsoon session of Parliament, a file pertaining to UPA government’s alleged attempt to implicate Mr Bhagwat in ‘Hindu Terror Web’ was surfaced in the media. Commenting on the issue, Mr Shinde said, “The decision had never come to me.

The government is of BJP and RSS-controlled party, they should release all the facts. About Bhagwatji’s, there was no information.” On being asked about the alleged pressure put on the National Investing Agency (NIA) by the government in power, the former minister added, “Neither this government nor our pressurised the NIA. It is a professional agency and their job is to do their duty.” Reacting on the file surfaced in the public domain, Rakesh Sinha, RSS Thinker said, “It was UPA government’s consistent effort to defame RSS. There objective was to tarnish the image of Shri Mohan Bhagwatji and Hindu organisation. The conspiracy was hatched at the highest level. Sonia Gandhi’s involvement cannot be ruled out. They want to defame Hindu culture and civilization too.” (UNI)
