Mathura: Around 40 passengers were injured when two buses collided with each other due to dense fog and low visibility on Yamuna Expressway in Mathura district here in Uttar Pradesh wee hours on Monday, police sources said here.
Police sources said that the incident took place around 3 am when the bus from Noida to Dholpur collided with another bus coming from Etawah due to dense fog near Raya cut. "40 passengers were injured in the accident," they said.
Police sources said that while 31 passengers have been admitted to the district hospital, 8 others have been admitted to a private hospital. "Condition of one passenger, Rahul (25), who is admitted to the district hospital, is said to be serious," they said.
Police sources said that one Rajendra Singh, who sustained fractures in both his legs, has been admitted to a private hospital. "Both the buses have been removed from the expressway. Passengers have been sent through trains and buses," they said.
