Uttar Pradesh: 5 of family killed, 4 injured after short circuit fire leads to cylinder blast near Lucknow

Lucknow: Five members of a family were killed and four others injured when a house caught fire leading to an explosion in a gas cylinder in Kakori area of Lucknow district in Uttar Pradesh, police sources said on Wednesday.
 
Police sources said that the incident took place in Hata Hazrat Sahab ward where the house of Mushir caught fire due to a short circuit.
 
"The heat was so intense that a cylinder kept in the house exploded as a result the roof and wall collapsed," they said.
 
Police sources said that the police along the fire tenders reached the spot and launched a rescue operation during which the persons trapped inside the house were pulled out.
 
"The injured were taken to the trauma centre where doctors declared Mushir, his wife Husna Bano, nieces Hina, Huma and Saiya dead," they said.
 
Police sources said that Ajmat, Mushir's daughter's Lakab, Insha and Anam were seriously injured in the incident and were being treated at the trauma center.
