Lucknow: As Uttar Pradesh records fewer number of COVID-19 cases in the recent past, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday permitted the state authorities to open up public establishments like multiplex, cinema halls, gyms and sports stadiums from July 5 in compliance with the Covid protocol.

"The business of cinema hall operators has been affected due to Covid. Their needs/problems should be considered sympathetically," said Adityanath during the routine Team 9 meeting here today.

Earlier, the state government had imposed Corona night curfew from 2100 hours to 0700 hours every day with weekly closure of all markets and business establishments for two days on Saturday and Sunday.

The CM stressed the need for establishment of "Health ATMs" in villages, small towns and metropolitan areas to provide better health facilities to the people of the state.

"Through these state-of-the-art machines, people can check many parameters including body mass index, blood pressure, metabolic age, body fat, hydration, pulse rate, height, muscle mass, body temperature, oxygen content in the body, weight. Technicians should be trained to operate it. A detailed action plan in this regard should be prepared at the earliest," he said.

Yogi Adityanath said the people of the state are going to get the gift of Purvanchal Expressway very soon.

"Its foundation stone was laid in July, 2018 and now its construction process is almost complete. An action plan should also be prepared for the development of industrial clusters along the expressway," he said.

Meanwhile, the state recorded 133 cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. (UNI)
