Dehradun,: Just ten days ahead of Assembly elections in Uttarakhand, Bharatiya Janata Party(BJP) today expelled many of their party members for six years for their alleged involvement in anti-party activities. Among the leaders who were suspended includes, Murarli Lal Bhatt, Satyendra Singh Rana, Mahesh Panwar, Budhhi Singh Panwar, Jafmohan Rawat, Bihari Laal Nautiyal, Dinesh Semwal, Vijay Bahadur Singh Rawat, Harish Nautiyal, Khushal Singh Nautiyal, Ghripal Pokhriyal, Rajesh Semwal and Girish Ramola from the Gangotri consituency.

“These people had earlier left Congress as they were feeling trapped in the party due to anti-people policies of Rawat government and central leadership of the party. They were also feeling that only Prime Minister and BJP can deliver development to Uttarakhand. However, their exit will not impact the saffron party's prospects in the assembly election",State Party Chief Ajay Bhatt said.  (UNI)
