Jagdalpur: An ancient Ganesha idol – suspected to have been broken into pieces allegedly by Naxals – has been restored at its original site at the Dholkal Hill in Chhattisgarh’s Dantewada district, police said. Archaeologist Padmashri Arun Kumar Sharma, who led the restoration work, said the restoration is complete.

Cracks are being filled and finishing work would follow it. The idol had gone missing from its original site a few days ago. Later, the district administration recovered the broken pieces. Arrangements have been made for security of the restored idol. (UNI)
