Vice Chief of Army Staff visits Ladakh, review operational preparedness at LAC

Leh: Vice Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General CP Mohanty arrived here on a three-day visit on Thursday to review operational preparedness along Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh.

A defence ministry spokesperson said that Lt Gen Mohanty visited Headquarters Fire and Fury Corps, where he was briefed about the prevailing security situation and operational preparedness in Eastern Ladakh.

"Lt General Mohanty accompanied by Lieutenant General PGK Menon and General Officer Commanding (GOC), Fire and Fury Corps will visit forward areas in Ladakh on Friday and Saturday," he said.

He said the Lt Gen will interact with troops, who are deployed in some of the harshest terrain, altitude and weather conditions. (UNI)
