Bengaluru: The Indian Air Force on Friday rescued 10 men, who were stranded in Chitravati river, which was overflowing in Andhra Pradesh.
According to an IAF statement, Indian Air Force helicopter IAF Mi-17 was pressed into service to rescue the men after receiving a distress request from the AP government.
The rescue was carried out by the Winching operation.
The chopper took off from Air Force Station parked here at Yelahanka at a short notice and reached the rescue site, negotiating inclement weather conditions. (UNI)
