Tel Aviv: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given a warm and somewhat unprecedented welcome in Israel. Modi reached Tel Aviv for his three day visit to Israel on tuesday. First ever by any Indian prime minister!

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu himself came to recieve Modi, a gesture rarely shown by him. Not any head of state had received such warm welcome before. Netanyahu received his visiting Indian counterpart with a "warm heart" and said his country has great admiration for Indian history and culture.

Mr Netanyahu said, in fact his country was "waiting for 70 years" for the visit of an Indian Prime Minister. Breaking protocol, Mr Netanyahu drove to the airport here to receive Mr Modi and said, "Your's is a historic visit...We love India, we admire your culture and history". (UNI)
