New Delhi: Poonam Azad, wife of suspended BJP MP Kirti Azad, joined the party today. Ms Azad, who switched to Aam Aadmi Party a few months back from the BJP, joined the Congress in the presence of state chief Ajay Maken at a press conference here.
Welcoming her, Mr Maken said that her entry will strengthen the party further and hoped that she will be the voice of Poorvanchal and Mithilanchal. "We have given her a new responsibility in the party,'' the Congress State Chief stated. She had served in various positions in Delhi BJP. (UNI)
