Woman dies after hearing husband's death

Puducherry: Hearing the death of her husband a 65-year-old woman, in a state of shock, fell down, became unconscious and died at Thirukkanur near here on Wednesday evening.

According to police, Balaiah (70) of Thirukkanur was returning home after supplying milk to a cooperative society in the area when a tipper lorry hit his bicycle killing him on the spot.

When the news of the death of Balaiah was conveyed to his wife Muthulakshmi (65) she fell down and became unconscious in a shock.

Muthulakshmi was rushed to the Mannadipet Primary Health Centre where she was declared brought dead.

Villianur traffic police are investigating. (UNI)
