Yogeshwar's London Olympics' bronze medal upgraded to silver: Reports

New Delhi: According to reports, Indian wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt's bronze medal, which he won at the last London Olympics in 2012, has been upgraded to silver.The Haryana grappler also took to micro-blogging website Twitter and said,"This morning I came to know that my Olympics medal has been upgraded to silver.

I dedicate this medal to all my countrymen." The development came after the London Olympics' silver medalist Besik Kudukhov of Russia, who died in a car accident in 2013, was tested positive for using a banned substance by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

However, the United World Wrestling (UWW) and International Olympic Committee (IOC) is yet to make an official announcement.Yogeshwar had to suffer a disappointing first round exit of the men's 65kg freestyle wrestling at the just concluded Rio Olympics. (UNI)
