5 Indian movies which got banned by the censor board

We all know how the hype has been created regarding "Padmavati". Oh! Sorry! "Padmavat". Well, the movie is now going to release soon. Yes the Supreme Court judgement has been passed and its definitely affirmative, but the protests over it have taken the movie to the next level. 


 
 
Though Padmavat had a narrow escape from getting banned, but here are those 5 Indian Movies That Got Banned By The Censor Board.
 
1.  Amu:  Amu is the story based on the massacre of thousands of Sikhs during the 1984 riots. To not cause any threat to the country, censor board banned the film. Despite the Censor board suggestion of cutting some scenes, the film never got released.
 
2.  Black Friday: Anurag Kashyap's Black Friday was based on the 1993 serial Bombay bomb blasts. The controversial content never allowed the film to get released. The film later got leaked and then released online.
 
3.  Sins: The story revolves around the Kerala priest who gets sexually involved with a young woman and was sentenced to death for sexual harassment and murder charges. The film was protested due to the indecency showed against Catholics. Also, the censor board had issues with the nude scenes.
 
4.  Inshallah Football: The documentary chronicles the story of a soccer player who desires of travelling abroad and becoming a footballer but couldn't because of his father was a militant. The movie was banned because of its sensitive subject.
 
5.  Urf Professor: Pankaj Adwani"s Urf Professor, a black comedy movie, despite of having a "chaotic" intriguing storyline, was banned by censor board because of its vulgar and bold scenes. Well, the ones who watched it, said it was a classic!
