New Delhi: This year will be known for the exchange of heat among the bigwigs of politics, journalism and Bollywood. Many high profile peoples who shared a congeal relationship turned sour.

Hoping against hope, we pray that the bitterness between them vanishes away, but the way 2017 has turned up for these peoples, it looks like they are going to share a cold shoulder in the next year as well. Have a look at the top 5 rivals of 2017.

5) Lalu Prasad Yadav/ Nitish Kumar

Once friends now foes, the relationship of Lalu Prasad Yadav and Nitish Kumar was one of the most discussed political breakup of this year. One friendly gesture of Nitish Kumar towards Narendra Modi, made him one step away from Lalu Prasad Yadav. Nitish took the last call to end the grand alliance after he resigned and formed the government in Bihar with the support of BJP. After that, it was potshots, name calling, personal attacks from both the sides.

4) Shashi Tharoor/ Arnab Goswami

Who can forget the famous “farrago” tweet of Shahi Tharoor which ROFLed the twitter. Republic editor in chief’s relentless reporting on Sunanda Pushkar’s death case miffed Shashi Tharoor so much that the channel’s team was once stopped to attend one of his press conferences. The battle between the both also reached the court. Recently the Delhi High Court gave an edge to Arnab Goswami and allowed him to continue reporting on Pushkar’s case.

3) Yashwant Sinha/Arun Jaitley

The former finance minister and the present finance minister of NDA government were at the loggerheads this year. A scathing article written by Yashwant Sinha, which was published by leading English daily send ripples in the BJP.

Later, Arun Jaitley held Yashwant Sinha responsible for poor economic policy in early 2000 which cost the party in LS elections 2004, He also termed him as a “ Job applicant at 80”. Yashwant Sinha replied with “If I was a job applicant, he  (Jaitley) would not have been a Finance Minister and blamed him for the mess in the economy.

2) Virat Kohli/ Anil Kumble

The most consistent batsman and captain of team India had ideological differences with the Jumbo. Which earlier looked like a professional friction kept on widening on daily basis. It was almost impossible for both to abridge the gap between them.

Virat Kohli was unsatisfied with the way Anil Kumble used to deal with players. At last, Anil Kumble resigned from the post of head coach. Since then the relationship was never back to normal.

1) Kangana Ranaut / Hrithik Roshan

One of the much touted controversy which has not only shocked the bollywood but also made space in the prime time. The high octane battle which went on for four years became uglier after an interview of Kangana Ranaut on a Hindi news Channel and attacked the Roshan family.

Hrithik broke the silence and wrote a scathing open letter on his official FB page. Later he clarified his stand in an interview given to English news channel. The war is far from over as both are in a legal muddle as well.
