Birmingham: England beat India by 31 runs in the first Test taking 1-0 lead in the five-match series here on Friday.

England won the first Test on day four by 31 runs taking 1-0 lead against India.India needed 194 runs to win, but resuming with an overnight score of 110/5, India were bundled out for 162 runs in 54.2 overs. (UNI)
