Kolkata: Three persons have been arrested from this city for alleged Indo-Bangladesh cricket match betting and several incriminating documents and hard currencies seized from them , police said today.
The Criminal Investigation Department of Kolkata Police following a tip off raided a house in north Kolkata's Jorabgan area on Friday evening and caught hold of the three accused red handed while they were gambling/betting on the ongoing Test match at the Eden Gardens.
Police said they seized four cell phones, two computers and Rs 2 lakh in cash among other things during the raid and arrested three accused persons, including Kundan Singh and Mukesh Mali.
The trio would be produced before a local judicial court today.The India and Bangladesh began their historic day-night 5-day Test with pink ball at Eden Gardens from Friday.(UNI)
