5th ODI: India beat New Zealand by 35 runs, win series 4-1

Wellington: Ambati Rayudu 90 off 113 and all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s 45 and two wicket spell helped India emerge victorious against New Zealand by 35 runs in the fifth and last ODI winning the series 4-1 here on Sunday.

India opening pair Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan fell cheaply at 2 and 6, but managed to put up a challenging score of 252 in 49.5 overs before the Kiwis but in reply the hosts chasing a target of 253 were bundled out for 217 in 44.1 overs. (UNI)
