Dubai: Delhi Capitals leg-spinner Amit Mishra on Monday was ruled out of the remainder of IPL 2020 due to a finger injury. The leggie sustained a flexor tendon injury to the ring finger of his bowling hand during DC's fixture against KKR on on Saturday.
Mishra was hurt while trying to take a return catch of Nitish Rana when the ball ballooned up off a leading edge during his first over against KKR in Sharjah. He dived across and got his hands underneath the ball but couldn't hold on, and injured himself in the process. The 37-year-old will now consult with a specialist over the next few days to determine the most appropriate course of management for this injury, Cricbuzz reported.
Mishra, a vital cog in DC's bowling lineup, had played three matches this season and picked up three wickets.Mishra's ouster means Axar Patel will walk back into the side as the second spinner alongside Ravichandran Ashwin for Monday's game against Royal Challengers Bangalore in Dubai.

Dubai:Sunrisers Hyderabad's pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar was on Monday ruled out of the remainder of the IPL 2020, due to an injury he sustained in the game against Chennai Super Kings.
Bhuvneshwar sustained the injury while bowling the 19th over of CSK' chase during their October 2 clash and hobbled out of the field after just one delivery. Khaleel Ahmed finished the remainder of his over.
According to the Cricbuzz report, the nature of his injury is still awaited.Bhuvneshwar featured in the first four games of the season, picking three wickets at an economy rate of 6.98.
His injury will be a massive blow to SRH skipper David Warner as he struggles for quality death bowlers in his side which is short on experience.(UNI)
